The aim of this course is to give a broad and general introduction to
the concept of law and legal methods as well as to present some of the
most critical and/or practical legal issues. The lectures will be
followed by seminars (study groups) where some of the pertinent aspects
will be discussed and a few examples will be dealt with in detail. At
the end of the course there will be a closed book written exam
(a multiple choice test) and an oral exam for which both credit and
a grade will be awarded. In order to be allowed to sit for the exam, the
students must attend seminars (study groups) and participate therein.
